AHS Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of the Aberdeen High School (AHS) counseling program is to provide a current, relevant, and comprehensive school counseling program in alignment with the American School Counselor Associations’ (ASCA) National Model. Our student-centered program focuses on the development of academic, career, and social-emotional growth of each individual student in collaboration with staff, students, families and community partners. The AHS counseling program advocates for student needs and believes that every student can learn, grow and succeed. We are committed to cultivating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for every student regardless of ability, race, gender, economic class, religion, or sexuality. 

AHS Counseling Vision Statement 

The vision of the AHS counseling program is to model, advocate and promote best practices for our students in order to have the greatest impact on their academic, career and social/emotional growth. We hope to equip students with the skills and confidence to empower lifelong learning and effective problem solving. This is to empower engaged citizens that can have a positive impact on their current and future communities.
